Good but not as good as some of the reviews lead you to believe,
The item is pretty tough. I will give it that. However, there are a few minor issues with the case itself. The first is it’s difficult to switch the phone from vibrate to ring using the switch on the side of the iphone. The case makes it nearly impossible to do quickly. Perhaps if you have really small fingers this may not be an issue but I’m an adult male so this is kind of difficult for me. This issue is actually important to me because I am constantly having to step in and out of quick meetings all day long for my job and I need to be able to switch my phone to silent or vibrate so a phone call doesn’t interupt the person I’m speaking with.
The next issue I have is with the headphone jack cover. I actually use my headphones almost every day because my iphone doubles as my ipod at the gym. The solution for me was pretty simple. I simply took a box cutter and sliced off the ear phone jack cover. Problem solved. I do not believe this affects the protection of the case at all. Works the same as before. It may take away from moisture protection I suppose but I think Apple designed the phone to survive regualar contact with the elements.
You will not be able to dock your phone using this case to any kind of dock and I mean any. So if you use a dock in your car or home to listen to music you will need to remove the phone from it’s case which is a real pain in the keester. If you just use the USB cable that came with the phone you should be fine.
Lastly, the protective cover over the screen does cause bubbles. Whether you apply real pressure or not. AND DO NOT apply baby powder to your screen. I have no idea who originally suggested that but it will scratch the screen of your phone and permanantly damage it. The other solution was to apply a screen protector to your phone so when it’s in the case it won’t have bubbles. Kind of ridiculous to me to require two screen protectors and it does take a little of the sensitivity of the the touch screen away by doing this but I suppose if you’re rough with your phone this could help protect it and the point of this kind of case is to offer as much protection as possible. I just wish Otterbox could find a better way to solve the bubble issue then making me buy an additional screen protector to be applied under theirs to avoid bubbles.
Overall. The case is solid. It offers good protection and depending on where you get it the price is worth it. I got it here for $16 total (including shipping) and that’s about $34 less than ordering it directly from otterbox. So if you pay less than $20 it’s a good deal and well worth it. For otterbox’s $50 direct asking price.. you may want to shop around a little more. Bottom line.. Case that offers good protection but sacrafices some ease of use and accessery options to provide that protection.

|Snug as a Bug in a Rug,
<Rave>I’ve always been a case freak. Every gadget I’ve ever had HAD to have a case. Ah, but this is a case like no other! How, you ask? What makes it so different from, say, that pricey leather case, or that silicon sleeve that fits your phone like a glove, or that bulky metal supernerd box that feels like you’re carrying a mini-casket? Well, this case is all those rolled into a sleek, functional but very cute package! You want protection for your baby? You got it. Your baby will feel soooo protected and smothered in two layers of a snug embrace of muscle (hard smooth plastic) and shock-absorbing skin (silicon rubber). And every single port is accessible to your probing fingers…
If you buy a Zagg screen protector and plaster your baby’s gorgeous face with it, you can remove the original film that comes with the case no problem. Cleaning the rubber is a simple matter of a rag moistened with water. Also, if you can get the holster with this, do it, it’s great, I use it all the time now.

I love this case almost as much as I love my iPhone. But as with everything else, there are caveats. The charger port is VERY snug, so only the original type plug will fit. If you buy another brand that’s boxy in shape rather than the elongated oval we’re all so familiar with, you’ll have to disrobe your iPhone from the limpet-like attachment of this case to be able to charge it. Also, access to the mute slider switch on the side is a little tight and might require the tip of a long fingernail or the tip of a pen or something narrow.
I think this item is a bulk-packaged, meaning it might not come with retail packaging.

|Great!,
I love my new otterbox! & I don’t know anyone that has one that paid as little as I did! I tell everyone to get on here and order before they buy from AT&T
